Hi, Pingskills crew
i was just wondering what are your ideas on Tacky Rubbers At the Moment i have TackyFire-C what is the perfect rubber for me but what are your ideas on them?, Have you ever used them before any answer would be good.
Thank You
Hi Piao Piao,
The Tackiness-C is a slower rubber with good grip on the surface. If you feel comfortable with it then it is right for you.
Personally I like grippy rubbers because I like the throw it give me off the rubber. Tackiness-C would be slow for my game but may suit you.
I haven't played competitively with them but I have hit with them.
In this video we will discuss the differences between Inverted and short pimple rubbers. We will also cover the advantages and disadvantages of short pimple rubbers. Some of the advantages are that the ball travels lower and flatter over the net and that having one rubber short pimple and one rubber inverted provides variety making it more difficult for your opponent.

Just a clarification- Tackifire C is very different to Tackiness C- the difference between Zhang Yining who uses the former and old fashioned choppers with the latter. Tackifire C is Butterfly's attempt at a "Chinese" rubber- heavy, hard sponge, fast and spinny.
