What kind of blade and rubber to use

Equipment

I have played for a few years, and have capitalized on the amount of spin I can get with a simple pimpled rubber with no sponge. I am looking into much more advanced equipment; that which provides optimum spin and a high amount of speed. What do you recommend I look into? Custom made right away? Or a step lower with pre-made?

Thanks,

Jackson

Hi Jackson,

If you are using a pimpled bat then I would go for a pre-made bat to start with with inverted rubber.

The one we have is the PingSkills Rook.  You will find this quite different to start with but it will allow your game to develop to a new level.

Also take a look at our tutorial on Choosing a Table Tennis Bat.

Choosing a Table Tennis Bat

Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.
