I have started playing table tennis in my school and I have a mini table at home, but my question is which bat is the best?

Hi Gearoid,

The best bats for learning how to play are ones that look smooth but are actually very grippy. Pimpled rubbers are not that great at generating spin. Watch our video on the Effects of Rubbers as this will help you out.

When starting out we recommend players use the PingSkills Rook. There are plenty of other good choices but this is one we know and can recommend.

With these grippy rubbers, they do wear out as you use them so as a guide, you need to replace them after around 80 hours of playing.
