Equipment
Hi there.
I'm looking to buy my first table, and I want to spend a maximum of $400. Is there any particular brand or features that you would recommend, e.g. does the thickness of the table make a difference? Type of wood etc?
Thanks very much,
Hasely.
Hi Hasely,
There are a lot of tables on the market. The things to look for are the thickness of the top. The thicker the better but this will be determined by your budget.
The one that we sell that would fit your criteria is the Stiga Compact Roller. This is a solid table with an excellent bounce. We have sold several to schools and they have proved to be very durable. They are easy to put up and down when and if you need to with the table coming in 2 parts to make it light enough to manoeuvre. They have a 16mm top which provides a good true bounce. It is also very compact to store so ideal for the home.
Have a look at the Tables in our Online Store for more information.

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
