Training
Dear Coach,
I got a table tennis board today. I've been looking through the videos and had trouble deciding which one to learn first. This my first time playing table tennis. So I've decided to ask you.![]()
Hi Abby,
I think the best place to start is the Strokes & Technique page. Work your way down the page and see what you are competent at. Having good basic strokes is really important.
Question actions
It's important that you assess your opponent's skill level and your own skill level. Using this information you can then decide how much risk you need to put into your game. If your opponent is a lot more consistent than you, you may need to go for a bit more on each of your shots to try and force an error.
