Strokes
How far exactly does the ball need to be from the table, in order to perform an around the net shot and what kind of spin do you need to focus more on when doing it, sidespin or topspin?
Hi Stan,
You just need a clear look at the table from around the net.
I would concentrate on the sidespin to make the ball curl to give you a better margin around the net.
It is not a shot that you need to practice too much because it si not a shot that you will need to play too often.
The banana flick has become one of the most important returns in table tennis. It allows you to attack almost any short ball and places your opponent under immediate pressure. Still it is a difficult stroke that takes a lot of practice to master.
