What would be the better rubber for spin and speed out of Tenergy 05 FX, Donic Bluefire, Donic Acuda S1 Turbo or the Joola Pheonix?

Hi Keegan,

Which ever one suits you best. It really is a personal choice. I haven't used any of those rubbers. I have used Tenergy 05 (not FX) and it is a really good rubber.

The important thing is to pick a rubber and stick with it so you can have consistency of equipment. You need this to work on your technique. Have a read of the blog Tone is in your fingers.

im currently using fast blade and fast rubber as of now. but when i tried a controlled or much slower equipment i can feel the difference. thats why im planning on going back to basics to practice and focus more on my strokes.

doesnt mean its the fastest and pro use it, it will be good to you too.

2 more rubbers you can add in your list, Adidas P5 & Tibhar Genius.

Choosing a rubber is mostly a trial-and-error process. If you can try those rubbers before buying, it's ok. But keep in mind that the same rubber when putting on a different type of blades can have different effect. To make it more confusing, the rubber that is best suited to your playing style today might not be good to you in the future if your skill level changes.

Actually, I doubt whether there is such a thing as the "best" rubber because if such thing exists, there would be no competition in the market. Everyone would buy and sell the same type of rubber.

My advice, gather as much info as possible and then choose one and use them for 3 months. After the rubber worn out, try the next one in the list.

Yeah, there is no "best" rubber or blade but the best for you
