What spin to use against top, back, side, and ones that include some side spin. Thanks for reading

Hi Darien,

It is best not to try and combat spin with more spin. You should try to just use the angle of your racket to steer the ball back. We cover a lot of principles of returning spin in our DVD, Receiving Secrets Revealed which is available through the DVD page of our website.

Fake Movements

After the ball has left the server's bat, they can no longer affect the spin that is on the ball. Any movements after the contact are referred to as fake movements and are meant to confuse you as the receiver. You need to focus on the contact to read the spin.
