Hey i've noticed that some pro players after a point ends they touch the table near the net .. why they do that ?

They are wiping the sweat off their hands on the table. They do this close to the net because it is an area that the ball doesn't bounce much.
Some players use it more as a break between points and part of their pre point routine.
