How to play a wide forehand shot?

Hi Haseeb,

The key to playing a wide forehand is your footwork. If you can move into position quickly then the stroke becomes a normal forehand. If you watch the best players in the World it often looks like they aren't moving much because they move so fast and always seem to be in position!

If the ball is really too wide then you may need to use the crossover technique. To do this (if you are right handed) you can move your left leg across your body to move out wide and play the forehand as your foot hits the ground. To get good power on this stroke you need good rotation from your hip and shoulders.
