Wrist issue with top spin

Hello Alios,

Im a penhold player,and whenever i topspin,my wrist is always bent,no matter how straight i try to make it , it always ends up being bent,so my question is that, is there any tips, techniques,equipment or anything i can do to fix this problem,

Hi,

I think the next thing to do is to watch what is happening to the ball and experiment on which way you can get the ball to curve.  See if you can curve it both ways.  Once you have a better control and feel for where you wrist is, you will be bale to control what you are doing with it.

This will be a process that you should use over a few weeks and see if it changes the stroke.

Forehand Counterhit

The forehand counterhit or forehand drive is the foundation for more attacking strokes such as the forehand topspin or forehand loop. There are 3 critical factors:

  1. Your feet position
  2. Your start position
  3. Your finish position

If you concentrate on these 3 factors then your stroke will become extremely consistent. Once you can reliably hit 100 balls in a row then you are ready for more attacking strokes. If you can hit 1,000 balls on in a row then you know you've truly mastered the stroke.
