Hi alois,

It's been a super long time since I last ask a question. How have you been doing? I hope your doing well especially in this pandemic.

My question for today is, what are your thoughts on the new side angle introduced by WTT? I personally love it very much as I can see the players' strokes and techniques so much clearer right now. However a lot of people hate it and are complaining about it. Do you think that this a bad or good for the sport in general?

Hi Eugene,

The angle of the camera is growing on me.  I understand why you feel you can see the strokes more clearly.  It is a cleaner view of the table.

I think it can be difficult to follow a rally though as you need to shift your vision from side to side.  When the camera is at the end of the table you are looking at the same angle all the way through.

It has divided a lot of opinions... what are your thoughts?

Does anyone else have an opinion on the angle?

Well I don't really care about the camera angle, I just love watching the action and listening to the bat hitting the ball.

The other camera angle I favor more is the corner view, in which the camera is placed in the "corner" of the room and angled obliquely to the table, instead of "true" front-back  or side view

Welcome back, Alios and Jeff, with the ATC show.  I've missed Jeff's jokes . . .

Up until the end of 2020, I've been able to stream or download full length videos from the ITTF TV website, alas no longer, it seems, with WTT.  How can I access any full videos nowadays online, or is it Pay TV only now?

Best wishes and good health to all the PingSkills members.  :)

Hi Gordon,

They are streaming them for free on Youtube on the World Table Tennis Channel.  Hopefully you find them there.  There are a few tables being streamed.
