While stuck at home, how to practice alone?
Robert Platt Posted 4 years ago
Good set up for home, mind you, little bit nasty with your aggressive shots to the youngsters !. Keep safe and keep the videos coming.
Jeff Plumb from PingSkills Posted 4 years ago
Hi Robert, I'm sure they'll be beating me soon enough so I say make hay while the sun shines :)
Anu, for practicing alone take a look at our videos on practicing alone, learning to spin in training 101, learning to spin in the serving tutorials, and shadow drills.

Great inspiration!!! The center I was playing at is closed indefinitely, so I have been working everyday on my basement to convert it into a PingPit. When it is done, I will play with a sheet of plywood on saw horses until I can get safely to a store to buy a real table. THANK YOU!!!
Alois Rosario from PingSkills Posted 4 years ago
Hi Paul, glad you liked it. A PingPit sounds like a great plan. A sheet of ply is basically what a table is made from. Good idea.
Paul Griz Posted 4 years ago
Thanks Alois! The plywood sold here is 4x8 feet so I will have to tighten up my game, which is not a bad thing, until I can buy a 5x9 real table. Will have to put more spin on my forehand counter hits. :)
Please stay safe and healthy,
thank you as always!

No problems.

You should get two fold up tables to make a normal sized table and put a table tennis top on! They can really make a nice table tennis court in quarantine. Or use a cork board to make your own single player trainer!

Thank you Jason, good ideas!!!

Loved this podcast! It was tough working out while laughing so hard. Great info as always.
Made my new temporary table out of red oak plywood and a home sewn net. Feels great to
be playing again. Now I need to go through your emails sitting in my inbox.
Thanks again!

Hi Paul,
It couldn’t have been Jeff’s jokes that made you laugh... surely!
