I've been working on my 3rd ball attack and I recently switched from Rakza 7 to DHS Skyline 3 Neo and am finding it has little forgiveness for technique gaps. If I serve underspin and they recieve with a push long is there a height where you should switch from topspinning as the ball is falling to topspinning at the top of the bounce?

Hi Chris,

You can hit any ball at the top of the bounce whether it is low or medium height. It will be a matter of change the start position of your swing slightly to adjust.

Forehand Counterhit

The forehand counterhit or forehand drive is the foundation for more attacking strokes such as the forehand topspin or forehand loop. There are 3 critical factors:

  1. Your feet position
  2. Your start position
  3. Your finish position

If you concentrate on these 3 factors then your stroke will become extremely consistent. Once you can reliably hit 100 balls in a row then you are ready for more attacking strokes. If you can hit 1,000 balls on in a row then you know you've truly mastered the stroke.
