Hi Alois and Jeff!
As there are no coaches or clubs here, doing drills won't do anything right? I thought why not build a systematic training system I could follow instead of doing drills.
I call this Layers of Improvement. I created this method after a long playing session I did. Let me describe it. For example let's take the basic BH to Bh Counterhit drill. In the game, the BH counter starts when someone quickly counters back to the BH and they engage in BH exchanges waiting so a soft ball to win the point. What I did what add a layer to the drill. Layer 1 is playing the basic BH exchange and I will ask my training partner to randomly hit a hard or soft ball. Once that happens I'll redirect it down the line. Until I mastered this drill, I won't go on to the 2nd layer. Layer 2 is doing Layer 1 but playing the point out. We do basic backhand exhanges, random soft or hard ball, redirect down the line and the partner returns the ball anywhere and we play the point out. Layer 3 is playing the real point out with the basic BH exchange and when a soft or hard ball comes, I'll return the ball randomly and we play the point out.
What do you think as an Olympic Coach?
At just 13 years old, you are wise beyond your years. This is a good method of practicing.
When you progress through your levels, still ensure you do the basics sometimes as well.
The random elements of training are important to make them more game like.
We will cover random drills in our upcoming 'Training Secrets Revealed' DVD.

Thanks Alois!
I'm quite knowledgable about Table Tennis because since I have 4 days of not playing, I just read artciles online during my free time at home.
