Hi Wayne,

Ankle weights can help but you need to makes sure it doesn't effect technique.  You may be able to do it away from the table when you can concentrate on technique of moving.

I use ankle weights (1.15kg) whenever I train my footwork, mainly to improve my speed. When I began, it didn't affect my technique but certainly my speed and endurance. 8 months on, and my footwork is much faster and I don't fatigue as much. As long as you maintain technique, you will reap the benefits of improved speed and endurance. I often wear the weights during my everyday business, to adapt to the load over time.

Hi Frendy,

You can buy them ready made from some sports shops.  If you can't get them then don't worry about using them.  They are not very important for your progress.
