Hi Alois,

I am having a problem in striking a backhand when the ball lands at the end of the table. I don't know if it is my position or swing that makes the problem. I am quite good in striking unreturned backhand balls that are pretty near to the net.

please I need help in this problem.

Thanks in advance

Hossam.

Hi Hossam,

Try to just take a small step back.  This will give you the space and time to make your backhand stroke.  If you can make a backhand well when you are in position then think about this movement.

Hi Rosario,

Thanks for the reply. I forgot to mention that, for my forehand, I have an opposite situation. I can strike far balls and not able to strike from near the net.

Thanks a lot.

Hossam.

Hi Hossam,

For the shorter ball try to get your right leg in closer to the net so that you can get closer to the ball.
