Hi PingSkillers,

Has anyone tried the Tibhar Samsonov Carbon SGS?  I'd appreciate any feedback you may have on it.

Hi PingSkillers,

Ordered one of these and have about 4.5 hours behind it now.  Put Xiom Sigma 2 Europe on the FH and Sigma 1 Europe on the BH. Both are 2mm thickness.

The blade is rated OFF+ and the FH rubber is mid 90's for spin and High 50's for control.  BH rubber, if I remember correctly, is slightly lower in spin and slightly higher in control.

Well, the blade/rubber combination has exceeded all expectations. Really nice!. The FH rubber can spin the ball like crazy, but you must get your blade angle and brushing motion correct to take advantage of it.

My previous bat was the KillerSpin Jet400, a 3 ply with Nitrx4 rubber. It was lighter and balanced more toward the top. The Tibhar is balanced almost dead center of blade with the rubber installed.

I wish there were a local table tennis pro-shop that would allow us to try the myriad of options before we buy, but I also think it is difficult to go wrong with any of the modern blades out there from the big names.  This blade seems to have more gears, but it will be a while before my skills improve enough to really harness them.

If I learn anything of significance after competing with this blade over the next couple months, I'll post my findings here.

Take Care Folks. :).

After having played with the Tibhar OFF+ Samsonov Carbon SGS and Xiom Sigma II/I Europe rubbers  now for a couple months,

I can add that the set up is extremely aggressive and can impart and receive more power than I can.  The problem is

that the ball leaves this bat with way too much energy and lacks control when the game slows or goes into chop battle.

I think the non-carbon versions of this blade would be plenty fast for most people and cost less.

Before changing this blade, I'm going to try Vega Pro or perhaps Vega Europe rubber to see if I can get more control from it.
