Hi ! I'm Gael and i'm a french table tennis player. Excuse me for my bad english. I wanted to know if you would be able to do a video on a very difficult trick which consist to roll the ball on the table. To make this trick, which rotation make on the ball : lift or back ? I think that the main effect is a side effect. I discoverd yours videos not long time ago, and i love its I'm waiting your answered with impatience.

Hi Guegan,

Your English is better than my French!

For the round the net shot you can have either straight topspin or topspin with some sidespin.  You will need sidespin if you need to ball to curve around the net post.  If you are wide enough you can hit it with straight topspin.

This is a fun shot but not something that you should spend too much practice time on.

Take a look at Panda making this shot at 4:20 in Panda Seeks Ping Pong Glory.
