Ok i like your definition about short ball (the ball must bounce at least twice on the opponent side) But i want to ask for a good attacking stroke if the ball is short AND after first bounce the distance between the opponent side and the ball between the table is less then 10 centimetres... in other words Short underspin ball in server which bounce under the level of the net... I have tried many many times to flick that ball with no luck at all. I have a good BH flick but still i cant find a good way to attack the opponent from such stroke ... 10q for you answers in advance and sorry again for my bad english school lessons =(

Hi Menthor,

This is a difficult shot to make.  It is best to make the flick with a little topspin so that you can lift it over the net.  It will need to be slower as well to make it consistently.

You could try the Backhand Sidespin Flick which is an advanced stroke but it is a bit easier to paly an attacking stroke off the short low ball if you can get it right.

Timing your forehand

Timing can help you to improve your stroke. It can also be a reason that you are struggling with your stroke. By changing the timing you can change the type of ball your opponents is facing.
