Backhand serve return off fast serve

I find it very difficult to return a fast serve on my backhand. Do i have to chop or do i need to play a counterWhat should be receiving posture if you sir please suggest me .My forehand is stronger than my backhand .How to improve my backhand keeping the qualities of my forehand same?

Hi Aishik,

Firstly I think the best return is to topspin the return.  This will give you a more attacking position in the rally.

Even though your forehand is more dominant, try to be quite square on to the server when receiving.  This will allow you to play the backhand more easily.  you should be able to adapt your forehand as well since it is your stronger stroke.

Often in these situations we wish the ball to come t our stronger side so aren't ready for the weaker side.  Keep an open mind and just watch where the ball is coming and then react with the best return you have.
