I read the tips below the forehand counterhit video and noticed that you said the power of the stroke comes from the forearm with a little upper arm. I then realized you had not done this with the backhand counterhit. Does the power come from the same place, or from the wrist, or elsewhere?
Hi Steve,
Thanks for the interesting observation.
It is similar for the backhand. With the backhnad though you can add a bit more wrist for the fast ball. This is just because of the way the wrist is positioned and moves. You can move the wrist further back in preparation for the backhandthan the forehand.
Don't force your wrist through for power, let it come through naturally.

The power mainly comes from the swing. The faster the swing, the faster the ball will go.
However the wrist can be used too add either more speed or spin.
