Backhand loop against block

Hi Alois,

I've looked carefully on DVD at Jeff's finish position on his backhand loop against block. I have been working on mine and am finding more success if my follow through continues in a sort of an arc so that my finish position is actually around my bicep level (ie in an arc past my head and down around to somewhere between my elbow and shoulder level). I find that this seems to make it easier to control any topspin on the ball I'm receiving because it's the result of coming over the ball a little more.

Would you regard this as a technical flaw, a matter of preference, or something else perhaps?

Many thanks,

Sydney

Hi Sydney,

I think this is fine as long as you are not changing the angle of your bat too much to statr off with.

Everyone will have slight variations as long as you are keeping it simple and it works for you in a game situation that is the main test.
