When I saw your backhand smash video i saw your serve that first you throw ball above and then it bounces on table then u hit a backhand smash. when i did this in academy my coach told me that when ball is bounced on table without being hit by racquet gives a point to opponent. So how can I do my backhand smash serve or i have to only return witha a smash?

Hi Jayant,

Your coach is correct.  That wasn’t a serve we were demonstrating, but we were just trying to show you the stroke.

You can only return with a smash, when your opponent gives you a ball that is high enough.

Hi Jayant,

It is better to play the forehand from there.  Try to improve your forehand smash.

If you are do really want to hit the backhand from the left court, then hit it a little later to get it to go more to the right.
