Hi Alois
Yesterday i asked you about backhand topspin, you told me to record the video and compare it with Jeff's backhand. I did so and I found that I only lifted my forearm and kept my elbow still. Now I have corrected my mistake and my backhand is good. thanks for guiding me... :)
Now I have few more problems-
When I went to my coaching center I found that my backhand is very slow and my opponent's could easily counter hit or smash the ball and another problem is that I am not able to backhand topspin the ball down the line.
Can you please help me with this problem
Thank you :)
Hi Saketh,
Well done on making the changes to your technique. I am glad the tip of videoing yourself was useful.
To get the ball faster now you just need to swing through faster with the same stroke. The advantage of learning good technique is that it will hold up when you want to make the stroke faster.
To get the ball down the line try to contact the ball a little later. This will have your bat at a slightly different angle and enable you to hit the ball down the line.
