Backspin in Chopping

Hi again coach,

After practicing a lot of chopping, I can now chop quite consistently and be able to keep the ball low most of the time. But I have one major problem though, my opponent doesn't have to do topspin to counter my backhand chops, they simply use a counterhit. My forehand chop generates enough spin however.

I still haven't figure it out after watching your video, any tips to generate more spin?

Hi Aphrodite,

Try using more angle on your bat to get more spin.  The contact is important here.  Think about just brushing right at the base of the ball to get more spin.  Then concentrate on getting a faster contact.
