Hi Coach,

I wanted some reviews on my backspin serve or any change required according to you.

I mainly do two types of Backspin serve

  1. Short Backspin Serve-It is a heavy backspin serve which returns to the net after 2-3 bounce on the opponent table.
  2. Long Backspin Serve-It is not that much heavy backspin. It bounced near the edge of the table and after the second bounce it stops their and continue its bounce on the same place.

Please kindly give your reviews on my services. I mainly use five services in the game two types of backspin serve which I told, two types of sidespin serve (Sidespin and Reverse Sidespin) and one long and fast. I am still learning topspin serve. Which one can be most use in the game?

Hi Tushar,

Well done on working on your serves.  All of the serves you talk about are good variations to have.  One is not better than the other, they are just different serves that you can use at different times.

The two backspin serves are great, to be able to get the ball coming back to the net means you are generating good spin.  Keep working on them and see if you can control the amount of spin you can generate.
