Strokes
Hello pingskills,
whenever i play a topspin stroke i close my bat angle (this is for all topspin strokes also varying speed and spin)... i am more consistent with my bat angle closed rather than opening my bat angle to a neutral position and playing a topspin stroke in that way. i also find that i can get more topspin on the ball when my bat angle is closed...
would you recomend this stroke?... and what can i do to get out of the habit of closing my bat angle if it is giving me any disadvantages (i cant really find any however players have recomended that i change the stroke to its standard stroke) .
i am a shake-hand player by the way!
Best regards,
Brad (ttprodigy)
Hi Brad,
You can close the angle of your bat to make this topspin. Do you find that you get a lot of top edges of your bat? If you d then you should open the angle more so that the ball is seeing more of the surface of the bat to hit.
