Equipment
Hi coach,
I am a beginner from the Philippines, do you have any idea about good brands of table tennis bats here?
Hi Sharlnne,
I don't know what is available in the Philippines but if you let me know some of the brands you are looking at I will be able to help you.
Some good brands are Stiga, Yasaka, Butterfly, DHS, XIOM, Donic and the list goes on.
Also other readers may know what is available there. If you do, please let Sharlynne know.

yup there are available blades in those stores mostly cheapest stiga blades
butterfly foam spray
stiga and butterfly sponges
butterfly and nittaku balls
dko ni rerekomenda na bumili ka sa tobys at chris sports ng rubber
sa experience ko sa store nila
puro open na or butas butas na ung packaging ng product, super old stock
pero other than the rubber issue other products are still good

salamat, eh yung sa green paddle maganda ba ung mga bats nila?
AmekunRaiane Rivadeneira Posted 12 years ago
yuppo maganda dun
and if you want to buy 3* balls used for multiball training maganda bumili dun
100 pcs = P1250
its not ittf approved but its a good 2nd alternative for a normal 3* ball like nittaku and butterfly imo
may brand sila na wala ang topcoms and same din sa topcoms may brand sila na wala sa green paddle :)

gud day can u pls help i want to ask if what type or kind of table tennis raket is best for my 10 years old son n he only a beginner n he will have a competion this coming sept what is best table tennis raket gud for him thnks !!!
Alois Rosario from PingSkills Posted 10 years ago
Hi Ahyee,
Get him a pre made racket with goo quality rubber. The bat that we have is the PingSkills Rook. Take a look at it for what it has to offer. The main thing is the quality of the rubber. It needs to be one with grip but also lots of control to make sure it allows him to be able to learn the strokes and develop correctly.

Hello sir i would like to ask what high quality rubber that i can buy if money is only 1000 php ?
I like a rubber that I can spin well
Alois Rosario from PingSkills Posted 10 years ago
Hi Joel,
I am not sure for that amount. A good rubber for a first custom bat is Mark V which is a little more expensive.
The Rook has a good starter rubber, Lion 5 Star, on it already as well.

Also from the Phils. Where can you buy a Stiga premade bat in Manila?
Diego Tesoro Posted 10 years ago
In my opinion, the best premade bats in the Phils. is the Nittaku Brave 200 and the Fighter 300. I tried the Butterfly Addoy and its just fine with me

Im eyeing for stiga crystal advance premade racket in an online store(lazada ph). Is it good enough for an intermediate player like me? Is it worth the price for Php1500(approx. 33 us$) and can I reuse the blade if the rubber wears out? Thanks in advnce.
Alois Rosario from PingSkills Posted 8 years ago
Hi Karlo,
It looks like one of the reasonable starter bats. It would probably OK to change rubber on it but I haven't seen it close up.
dondee corpuz Posted 8 years ago
Well, if you are an intermediate player, I suggest you buy a good quality of rubber and blade..there are so many blades and rubbers that can fit your game..stiga crystal advance is a hobby bat..and it is not bouncy for an intermediate player..i think u need to assemble your own racket for you to improve more... It is only my suggestion.. I hope it helps your concern.. :)
dondee corpuz Posted 8 years ago
you can try dawei blade if you want...i think its just 700-900 PHP..and and for the rubber you can try LKT, DAWEI or Yasaka if u want..
Karlo Olivario Posted 8 years ago
Thanks @Dondee corpuz. That was helpful. Now my concern is where to buy the items. I live in Bataan-Olongapo area. There are available rubbers around here, one is friendship 729 which I will ask you if it's ok. But have no idea where to buy blades. Thanks again in advance!
dondee corpuz Posted 8 years ago
you can order online at greenpaddle.com, an online store where you can buy good quality of blades and rubbers...you can also search for their store branches..here u can choose from different brand that has a good quality of blades and rubbers...i think they offer joola, butterfly and donic etc... My advice for you is to be patience for choosing your own racket..don't just buy anything that is good for ur eyes...make some research for different blades and rubbers for you to reach ur satisfaction.. :)
