My question is what type of floor is suited for table tennis?
Hi Joseph,
Something that isn't too hard on the legs is best and also something that has grip.
Wooden flooring is probably the most common flooring used. Try to avoid concrete floors as this is really hard on the feet and legs.
I like the rubberised flooring. We have just got some in the PingSkills shed. It is quite expensive to lay however but it provides a soft surface but also great grip so you can move easily.

For the benefit of legs and feet in my experience it is advisable to choose the right shoes for different floors. On concrete I prefer handball shoes because they have better cushioning than table tennis shoes.
