well we all heard of jiang jilliang liu gouliang and kim taek soo, so they are out of the question anyway lest talk ma lin,xu xin wang hao and ryu seung min which is the best among them and why? thanks :)

Hi Samuel,
I like Ma Lin because of his longevity in the game. He has also won a lot of titles including an Olympic Singles Gold medal and 3 World Championships Singles silver medals. YOu don't do that without a lot of ability.

this kinda varies. Ryu Seung Min would be a good choice IF the rpb hasn't been widely used yet, and he has lethal backhand pushes, but he is not good enough for penhold competitions. Wang Hao is a pretty straightforward guy, and he has a very dangerous rpb. His masteral of the rpb is far more stronger than his forehand is. Ma Lin is a tricky type, because he purposely handles ball situations where you least expect it, but he constantly uses a push than rpb. I agree for Alois because of his longetivity, earning the name "the maestro." Xu Xin is the dark horse among the famous penholders. His strategies along with his footwork is amazing. Despite being lefty, he maximizes his strength not only to a remarkable forehand similar to ZJK but once he masters the RPB (similar to Wang Hao and Liu Guoliang), he will be unstoppable combined with the best characteristics. Xu Xin is diverse, sleek, and smooth but he manages multiple strategies at once. He will be TT king someday, now knowing that he from the number 4 spot becomes number 3 in the world. He is also a good doubles player.
Any of these guys are cool. But in my opinion, I stick to my idol, Xu Xin, STIGA superstar, dark horse of TT.

My penhold idols are Xi Enting, Chen Longcan and Ma lin.

For me is best Wang Hao in penhold grip :)
