Coach.

I´m very good at rally's doesn´t matter which effect I´ve got lots of consistency.

But when it comes to serves I try them to be with a lot of spin but they come quite slow and with not much spin , how can I improve my serving ?

And another thing would you please give me some tricks to read the enemy´s serve better.

Thanks

Rodrigo

Hi Rodrigo,

The key to generating spin on your serve is to get a brushing contact on the ball.  This will make the ball start to spin around.

Once you feel you are getting a good contact on the ball, then you can start to speed the contact up so that the ball will spin faster.  This is a really important part of the game as you have found out.  Your rallying is good already so if you can improve your serves your game will go to a higher level.

We also have a DVD dedicated to this which you can purchase through the website.  Take a look at our Serving Secrets Revealed DVD.  This will show you in great detail how to get spin and then it will also go through with you how to do a lot of different types of serves like the Pendulum serve, the Backhand serve, Tomahawk and others.

For receiving spin serves, you need to watch closely what they are doing with the contact on the ball.  The direction their bat is going when it hits the ball will give you a clue as to what type of spin is on the ball.  If they brush up on the ball then it will have topspin, if they brush down it will have backspin.  The same applies to sidespin.  For more detailed information on this,  we have our Receiving Secrets Revealed DVD.

Good luck with your game.
