BH rubber

Equipment

I currently use a Neottec Katana 1.8mm rubber, which is a medium soft rubber, for my BH side. For some reason, I feel like I'm not getting enough control on my BH strokes. I've heard that many pro players changed to a harder rubber (probably around medium hardness) for their backhand. Should I change the rubber to a harder one?

Hi Andy,

I would say the difference isn't the rubber.  The 1.8mm rubber should give you enough control.  I would work on the control of the strokes with good technique first.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
