Hi Alois
Is it true that some blade is good for topspin, as its producer claim? or top spin is rubber dependence.
Best,
Somchai
Hi Somchai,
The more important factor is the rubber for spin. However, if the blade is too fast or hard, it may lessen the ability to impart spin because the ball isn't staying in the rubber for very long.

Thanks. If I play forehand topspin with a hard blade and want to add more spin to my stroke, should I open or close my blade more. I play with Chinese rubber.

Somchai

With Chinese rubber you can close your blade more to brush over the top of the ball.

Many thanks. When I close my blade do I need to have the same finishing position as more open blade? When I try to counter topspin the ball fly over the table, I wonder it is because the angle of my blade or my finishing position.

Somchai

You can finish more forward and slightly lower if you are brushing over the ball.
