Hi Rosario(Coach),

As you said we must replace our rubber when it is dead (smooth), how does the rubber get dead and how long a rubber can last? Do blades also get dead? So, if we take a new blade, we must take a new rubber? What if the ply is damaged?

Hi Swaroop,

A rubber will become dead with a lot of use.  They will last about 80 to 100 hours of play.  It will become old quicker if it is left in heat or in dirty conditions regularly.

The blade will last a lot longer, at least a few years.  I used my last one for 20 years.

When taking the rubber off your blade you can take it off carefully and replace the rubber whenever you need to.
