Change of rubber

hi I just want to know that when do i have to change the rubber for table tennis? i started last year 2009 august

Hi Yiejian,

Once the rubber starts to lose it's grip and cannot generate the amount of spin it did when it was new, it is time to replace it. This varies depending on how well you look after you rubber and how often you practice.

If you play between 2 to 3 times a week and use a good quality rubber then it should last between 6 months and a year. However top players who practice every day would only use their rubbers for a couple of weeks.
