Dear Sir,
first of all my heartiest thanks to both of you for those immensely helpful emails & videos.
thinking of upgrading my equipment i do have some questions to ask.
1)for the choice of blade your opinion on joola carbon, joola rosskorf allround, butterfly jonyer h-2
2)whether yasaka mark v or v xs
3)whether both side yasaka or combination of yasaka mark v and butterfly sriver-fx will do better.
thanks again.....keep supporting us......
Hi Sounak,
What sort of equipment do you play with at the moment and what is the reason for upgrading?
The blades and rubber that you have mentioned are all good quality so it depends on what you want from the blade and rubber.

Sir,
so far I have used stiga kontra & then for last two years stag all round racquet now the later is damaged I want to upgrade to a good racquet so please suggest me from those listed because those are within my budget as per a senior player and also what i found in Indian market.
thanks again,
sounak

I would go for the Jonyer H-2 with Mark V on both sides. You could also use Sriver on both sides. Keep it the same and simple.

thank you sir for your suggestion but will you please tell me what is the actual difference between those two rubbers in detail because price of sriver is nearly double that of mark v.one of my senior told me that sriver is slightly defensive than mark v and he use mark v on FH & sriver on BH.
thanks again,
sounak

and also I am a little bit defensive in BH doing chopping, blocking more often than heavy topspin so if you can suggest thickness specifically stating how a rubber gets different with it's thickness.
thanks for bearing with me,
sounak

There is very little difference between Mark V and Sriver in performance. If the Sriver is more expensive, go for the Mark V.
I would go for a thinner rubber on the backhand. Try 1.5mm on the backhand if you like to chop on the backhand mainly.
The thicker the rubber, the faster it is and the more spin you will get with it.

thanks a lot for your suggestion..

one more thing to ask sir what will you prefer between stiga allround classic and butterfly jonyer h-ii blade and for better speed and spin yasaka mark v or joola express.
thanks,
sounak

Hi Sounak,
Both the blades are similar so I don’t have a preference. Joola Express is faster so if that is what you are looking for then choose the Joola. The Mark V will give you better control.
sounak chatterjee Posted 10 years ago
thanks for quick reply sir how about joola rosskorf emotion when compared to stiga all round classic and butterfly jonyer h-ii will that be a good choice paying 1k more.
thanks,
sounak

Hi Sounak,
Don’t get too caught up with all of this. They will not make a big difference to your game. Training is much more important.
sounak chatterjee Posted 10 years ago
sorry sir actually i have a fixed budget and i cant afford buying equipment regularly that is why i want a good blade with proper rubber combination so that i can play for atleast 3-4yrs only changing my rubber.
thanks annd sorry for asking about equipment again &again,
sounak

You won’t go wrong with any of those choices. They are all quality equipment.
