Cleaning rubber

Sir, as i dot have a sponge, i use damp cloth for cleaning the rubbers. Is it advisable? If not, does it reduce the performance of the rubber? I use Xiom Omega IV Europe which is a tensor. Does it reduce the tensor effect? My coach cleans the rubber using petrol. Anyway I dont give mine to him. Is it advisable? What effects does it have?

Hi Earl,

A damp cloth is good to clean the rubber.  I wouldn’t advise cleaning the surface with petrol.  The petrol will soften the rubber.  Water is good.
