Hi there,
Is it mandatory to wear your table tennis clubshirt during competition? We have this very uncomfortable clubshirt that I don't want to play in, you can easily see the sweat in it as well. Our club chairman said that next time I don't wear a clubshirt I will have to pay a fine...

Hi Kevin,
This is a rule of the club it is not an International rule. So you will have to abide by the rules of the club and wear the shirt.
Maybe you can talk to him about getting better shirts next time they order them. Another good thing may be to even join the committee. I know most clubs would welcome people to help out.

Hitting the Ceiling
When the ball hits the ceiling the point is over. You must hit the ball directly back onto the table otherwise you lose the point. In International tournaments the roof needs to be at least 5 metres above the playing surface but in local competitions you might often encounter much lower ceilings.
