Is there any way to improve concentration during the game? I tend to start well and in the middle of the game I lose points. How can you keep the same concentration for the whole game?
Thanks,

Hi Dada,
This is not a simple solution. The main idea is to try to keep each point the same. If you find yourself wandering focus back on the ball before you start another point.
The wandering can be caused by a lot of things. Either you can be bored or too excited. There are ways of controlling this level through focusing on your breathing and working on your relaxation but this is sucha big area to get into it is impossible to do in a short answer.
If you are really keen you could try to work with a sports psychologist. They are very useful in helping in this area. You will be amazed at the improvement in your game. If this is out of the question do some reading on 'Arousal levels'. If you have any questions about it contact us again.
The seventh building block of table tennis is sports psychology, an essential aspect of mastering the game. The first step is recognising your emotions during important matches. Understanding how pressure and nerves affect your performance allows you to develop strategies to stay focused and in control.
By strengthening your mental game, you can handle high-stakes situations with confidence and perform at your best, no matter the challenge.
