Strokes
Hi Alois,
I am a left-handed player. My backhand strokes are very unreliable. Almost every stroke puts the ball into the net or sends it outside the table. It has become very frustrating and has become the reason of my many defeats I am facing right now. Please teach me some tips and drills to improve my backhand moves.
Cheers,
Dhanvith
Hi Dhanvith,
This can be a frustrating thing.
I would go back to more basics and see why you are missing the strokes. Is it because of technique or is it something else. It may be that you are waiting for the forehand more than the backhand and so when the ball comes to the backhand you are late to get to it. This is then self fulfilling because you then want the ball to come to the forehand more and therefore you are preparing even more for the forehand side and getting later to the backhand.
Watch your game on video and see if it is the technique that is the problem or something else.
