Strokes
Sir,
What is the contact point of drive stroke to
1. incoming drive ball
2. incoming forehand topspin ball
3. incoming backhand topspin ball?
Hi Oscar,
The contact point can be similar for all of these. It is more about what you are trying to do to the ball. The direction you want to send the ball and the type of store that you want to play.
If you want to play a slower stroke then you can hit the ball slightly later or stroke that gives your opponent less time you can hit earlier off the bounce. For a faster stroke the top of the bounce is often best.
To hit the ball cross court you can take the ball earlier and down the line, later.
