Hello my question is about how to get rid of bad habits... I know that repition / practice is the best way to get rid of bad habits but i have a horrible habit of lifting 1 leg when i loop with my forehand and a bad habit of epic failing with my backhand =P more or swinging early / reaching for my backhand... and missing the ball when im looping a serve that is long so any advice is great! thanks a million!

Hi Neil,

Firstly, take a look at the article on our latest newsletter on correct errors.  I have now put it as a Blog titled Correcting Errors as well in case you are not a subscriber.

Then take a look at a previous Ask the Coach Question on Learning Technique.

Next, focus on the weight on your left leg at the point when your bat hits the ball. Give youself a rating like described in the Learning Technique question.  You will be amazed at the results.

Correcting Errors

If you are having a problem correcting an error in your technique, then try this great tip. Think about learning a new stroke rather than correcting an old bad habit. The change in thinking will allow you to learn the new stroke without worrying about your old bad habits.
