Strokes
When someone returns a ball off and from under the table high and with side spin. How do you deal with it?
Hi Peter,
The main thing is to utilise the time that the ball is in the air to move into position.
When the ball is high, move to a more side on position and get your racket up around shoulder height. Then it is a matter of really watching the flight of the ball to see which way the ball is going to spin. Initially this may be difficult but it will become an easy thing to recognise after you have done it a few times. The ball will spin left or right, so make sure you adjust your legs into position to make a strong ball.
