Dealing with backspin balls

I have been having a problem hitting a half cutted ball.My opponent always does the half cut like that i cant even score points or hit a ball.What should I do?

Hi Adithya,

When your opponent plays with backspin, you need to see if the ball is going to bounce once or twice on the table.  If it bounces once, then you can push the ball back.  If it is only going to bounce once then you need to look at making a topspin.  Take a look at our lessons on the Forehand Push and the Forehand Loop Off Backspin.  These two lessons will help you to learn how o deal with the backspin.
