hi, i have an opponent that i vs a lot and he likes to put a lot of spin on the ball and it is very hard to beat him because he puts both topspin (forehand and backhand) and chop (forehand and backhand). How can i beat him or control it because the spin wont let me hit the ball because it spins off my bat? how can i beat him?

Hi Alex,

The important thing is to watch what happens after you hit the ball and see where the ball goes to.  This will help with your learning.  Theer is no easy quick fix for learning to deal with spin. you need to experience it and let yourself adjust to it.  You will miss the first few, btut if you are watching calmly you will start to understand the effect the ball is having.

Initially don't try to do too much with the return, put your bat at the ball and see what happens.  Allow yourself to learn.

Of course this is difficult during a match, because by the time you rlearn you have lost the match.  that is why you should try to gett some practice time in.  play as many different peopl as you can and you will start to build up a good database of information in your brain.
