Hi, Alois..
How to play agains player with offensive pip out rubber?...mostly my ball coming down to the net if i hit the ball..Thank a lot
Hi Fahrudin,
This is a common problem. The short pimple rubber does not generate much topspin. When they hit the ball it comes through very flat and a little faster which adds to the 'weight' of the ball.
When playing Short pimple flat hit players you need to lift the ball a little more, like it has a little more backspin than you think.
The best thing is to slow heavy topspin or give them heavy backspin. These are the two things that are difficult for the short pimple player to deal with.
In this video we will discuss the differences between Inverted and short pimple rubbers. We will also cover the advantages and disadvantages of short pimple rubbers. Some of the advantages are that the ball travels lower and flatter over the net and that having one rubber short pimple and one rubber inverted provides variety making it more difficult for your opponent.
