Dear Coach,

In my office a TT tournament is going on.  I was playing doubles with my partner and we entered the semifinals and lost the match.  We won the first set and in the second set my opponent was serving with lot of spin while I was receiving the serve all my service return went out.  Third set was very close and we lost the match.  Though the opponent is a good friend of mine the defeat was hurting because we should have won the match.  Kindly give your valuable guidance how to come out from the defeat.

With Warm Regards.

Ram

Hi Ram,

Yes defeat does hurt sometimes, especially when you feel like you had the ability to win the match.

You have identified the area that you need to work on which is return of serve.  This is great and a step forward.

Try to think of the bigger picture and focus more on your improvement of skills.  The more you work on this the better you will get.  In a match there is always a winner and loser so try to move on and keep improving.
