What is difference between plastic and celluloid ball?

Hi Nick,

I think with the better plastic balls there isn’t much difference at all.  There seems to be a little more bounce with the plastic and the ball doesn’t come through as fast but they are still in the early stages.  I don’t think the difference is significant.

Tone is in Your Fingers

I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!

Hi, pingskillers. Some months ago I tried a plastic ball and I did not like it. It sounded and broke like a Christmas tree ball. Now they have got somewhat better and there are more choices regarding brands and qualities. But for the players in my club that rely heavily on spin it has been harder than to me that simply block and smash.
