At my recent tournament (the one where I took two golds and a silver) it was an international tournament and I was talking to kids from Great Britian about the different ways some of the other players play and one kid said one of the kids from California was playing "pimples" What excatly does that mean in table tennis?

Hi Ben,

Pimples are a type of rubber where the pimples are on the outside of the rubber rather than inverted with the pimples on the inside between the rubber and the sponge.

Take a look at our lesson on the Effects of Rubbers and you will see them explained.

Tone is in Your Fingers

I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
